  • Sunday, August 17th: HOT STOVE COOL MUSIC presented by Theo Epstein and Peter Gammons
  • Monday, August 18th: 5th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT THE WEST END HOUSE. Join us at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland for a day of golfing to benefit the summer program at the West End House. Golfers will enjoy prizes, such as a chance to win $15,000 cash if they score a hole in one, as well as a post tournament party at the Green Briar in Brighton. To register online, click here.
  • Friday, November 7th: EDWARD LEWIS FOUNDATION AND MICHAEL GORDON FOUNDATION DINNER, Westin Waterfront Hotel, 6 pm - midnight. Join us for an evening of fine dining, dancing and a live auction, all to support the West End House. Online registration is coming soon - stay tuned.
  • Welcome new staff members, Blake Goldberg, Loraine Spreen and Yaqueline Roberts! Blake started her position as Associate Director of Development on May 5th and Loraine’s first day in her role as Assoicate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations on May 26th. Yaqueline Roberts has joined us in the capacity of part-time art instructor. We encourage parents, volunteers and of course our Club members to get to know our new staff. A great way to meet them is to come to our next Family Night!

2008-2009 Brian J. Honan Fellowship Applications are Now Being Accepted!

We are accepting applications for the sixth class of Brian J. Honan Fellows through the West End House Boys & Girls Club. The Honan Fellowship was established in 2002 to memorialize former City Councilor and West End House member Brian J. Honan.

The fellowship empowers youth from across Boston to become engaged and influence change in their community, develop leadership skills, and stimulate an interest in public service. Fellows learn about government and politics, identify neighborhood concerns, complete service projects, and meet with public officials and advocates. The program includes a paid summer internship in a community agency or government office and ends with a community action project to create change in Boston.

We are seeking applications from committed, caring youth who possess leadership potential and the desire for public service. All applicants must be residents of Boston entering 10th or 11th grade in September 2008.
